BP Rumors

In response to the rumors regarding BP's demise on the North Slope, they remind of a famous quote by Mark Twain:

"The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated."

Mindless over what matters

Candidate for Lt. Governor Eddie Burke must feel like he's been left at the Tea Party altar after they endorsed Mead Treadwell. Burke has been as much of a Tea Partier as humanly possible, but this endorsement was personal payback more than anything.

Rep. Jay Ramras, who is also running for the Lt. Governor's position, had been at odds with Tea Party Queen and former governor Sarah Palin over her tax and spend ways, her ridiculous gas pipeline plan and her general inability to manage government.

Since Burke has no chance of winning while Ramras has publicly taken Palin to the woodshed for her numerous failures as governor, they endorsed Treadwell.

But here is how transparent this endorsement is:

In the race, they refused to endorse Ramras because he publicly endorsed U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski. "We can't support any, who supports Murkowski," they sentout in an email.

However, Treadwell is a Murkowski supporter as well. In fact, according to the Federal Elections Commission, he wrote a $500 donation to her just a few months ago.

Me thinks someone is spiking the tea these people are drinking.

Rewriting History

What's with the new website paid for by the State, just six weeks before the primary that has Governor Sean Parnell touting the pipeline options?

Parnell has long been an AGIA supporter in the mold of Palin and has said that is the only viable way to get Alaska's gas to market. But the new website seems to portray Parnell as entertaining other options. My administration wants to provide open and transparent information to the public, Parnell says on a video message.

Yeah...well how about sharing the results from AGIA's open season when it closes in just three weeks?

Time is ticking away

Speaking of AGIA's open season, GOP Gubernatorial candidate Ralph Samuels website has posted a countdown clock to the end of open season.

Tick, tock Sean...

How is business?

From January 1 through June 30, andrewhalcro.com has had 1.2 million individual page views.

Not bad for a blog where the content is usually written at 5am.
