Enter John Binkley

The biggest thing that surprised me about Republican John Binkley entering the race is the way in which he has entered the race.

Since June of 2005, when asked about his future intentions he has repeated the same answer. I think Governor Murkowski is doing a good job and I'd seriously consider running if he doesn't seek re-election (sic)

State Senator Ben Stevens. A funny thing happened on the way to Washington D.C.

December 15, 2005 - Bob Dylan once said "Blame it on a simple twist of fate." Welcome to the road to the United States Senate...ahh the best laid plans of mice and men.

Closed Caucus. Why it's worse than you thought

Murkowski was elected on a platform of fairy tale dreams and candy cane wishes. The reality three years later is Murkowski's negative approval ratings are second only to a guy from Ohio whose administration has faced one political scandal to the next.

Alaska's 2006 Elections: The favored son strategy and other predictions that might surprise you

As with most political predictions, these are offered without the burden of fact or knowledge.

In 2006, everyone of the 40 State House Seats and half of the 20 State Senate seats will be up for re-election. In addition, Alaskans will elect a Governor and a Congressman. Lets start with a quick look at some legislative races.

Easy Money: The truth behind why four Republican legislative aides received $80,000 in bonuses

On Thursday March 17, 2005 four former Democratic legislators filed a lawsuit in Juneau Superior Court alleging that $80,000 was illegally paid to Republican legislative aides from 2001 to 2004 and requested the court demand repayment to the state treasury.
