Breaking Silence....

August 17, 2010: It's always nice to fall of the grid for awhile and let others fill the vacuum.

I'm working on an in-depth piece about how we can finally create a system in Alaska where rural schools rival urban schools and both have stronger graduation demographics. 

During my initial research, it's clear that life, sucess and death flow through education and if the next generation of Alaska natives is to have hope we need to begin a wholesale change to how we educate in rural Alaska.

From decreasing suicide rates to improving economic opportunities, it all rests in a quality education.
