The End Is Near........

Andrew, You will be so missed that I would hope you'd reconsider your decision to leave the public arena. However; I realize that you must have a level of stress that comes along with what you do for all of us out here that wait eagerly to read your blog. So, I do understand that you gotta do what you gotta do in order to ensure your health and happiness (and that of your family). Our baby will miss your voice as we like to listen to you daily, or at least have you on in the background. I always thought that if/when we met you, that my daughter would recognize your voice and it would be really cool! It still will be cool to run into you someday and hopefully it's in the capacity where you are the most comfortable and if that means running for office, then please do so!! You have our votes!!!!

My login is recognized and I can thank you for the fine job you've done, information you've been the tip of spear on, and personal jabs you've taken and stayed classy. For whatever reason you've chosen to walk away, you do so on top and in the prime of your game. Thank you for the great work, drink suggestions, and humor. We'll miss ya. I can't help but think, since you're taking a sabbatical, that the good gov is looking over her shoulder.... you sick puppy.

You obviously have contacts at all levels of government and the media. Where the heck are we going to get the inside scoop now? It sure isn't the standard, and mudflats doesn't have the obvious connections. I hope you reconsider, and at least dabble with a part time blog. Cheers.

Thinking about a day without andrewhalcro.com brings profound sadness. The pace of a full time job, blog, and radio show has to be grueling and without fail you delivered, it's been a gift to us all. Enjoy your hiatus and know that your adoring fans will be patiently waiting.

Andrew, I'll never understand how day after day, month after month, year after year, you could pour your blood, sweat and tears into trying to bring POLITICAL AWARENESS of what was really going on in Alaska to the general public... Sure, if it was 1776 and the American Revolution was going on, then it would be understandable... But for someone to make this effort considering the apathy of today's voters, it was a thing of admiration to watch... You are truly a PATRIOT Andrew, Plain and simple... Thanks for throwing the Pearls of Truth among the piggies... A few of us piggies paid attention to the pearls, and not the lipstick... Your efforts made a huge difference to those of us who had ears to listen and a brain to think... Regards... antegrenkid...

Andrew, Your blog has added a much needed voice in the debate. Without your investigative and critical eye, we may never have known just how corrupt this Governor has been. For the entire four years of your blog, it has been one of my daily reads. I will miss it.

Andrew. You were one of the ONLY ones with the courage and fortitude to challenge Palin's conduct and policies when it was not trendy. Others, but for one or two, were cowered into debilitation as they abdicated their duties to their constituents, their readers and viewers. The media have yet to investigate Palin's quagmires that you have clearly and simply already made public. There were many times where your comments drove the next day's news cycle. Conflicts of interests between reporters and Palin were only made public by you as the media wouldn't dare report on these unethical goings-on within the gov's press corps. You Andrew stood tall and withered the windstorms while providing shelter to others as Palin continualy skewered them publicly. Thank you very much Andrew. We will never forget.

Okay Andrew, We are spoiled, you laid out in concise terms what has happened in Alaska. You opened our eyes, you put an extreme amount of effort in showing us what really goes on. We want you to continue blogging but would rather have you run for political office if we have to choose. Missing your blog is an understatement. While I originally thought Palin might win this one, I think you have a plan to unleash your knowledge and genuine love of Alaska in a way that will benefit us all. Best wishes!

Yours was the first blog I bothered to read (back when Mat Maid was thrown under Palin's bus) and I've been a faithful reader ever since - even when sick with the flu or on vacation in a tropical paradise. And I'm serious: every.single.day. I've grown to RELY on you not just for the TRUE scoop on Alaskan happenings and a rational approach to the high drama we've been subjected to as a State - but for a detailed and thorough education on financial issues we face (e.g. AGIA). There is no better source out there. We've become a better, more informed community because of your unselfish efforts. Your blog has been invaluable for keeping on top of Alaska. I can't imagine the time and effort you have put into writing, thinking, researching facts. What ever will I do??? Suffer the AH withdrawals,.. is there a doctor in the house I may need a script for Valium and some nitro for my BP's.
