With friends like these....threats and emails
What's the old saying; humble in victory, gracious in defeat? Seems TransCanada lobbyist Patty Bielawski could learn a lesson about being humble.
After the House of Representatives passed AGIA, Bielawski approached Representative Ralph Samuels who was sitting on a 2nd floor bench with colleague Rep. Bob Roses, Chief of Staff Portia Babcock and APRN reporter Dave Donaldson.
She reportedly scolded Samuels for his letter of intent that passed along with AGIA that simply states that the legislature encourages in state gas use. Samuels responded by saying she won the vote and should be happy.
"Wait until next year" Bielawski warned Samuels. "I won't be here next year" answered the retiring Samuels, who has accepted a job as the government affairs director at Holland America Lines.
"I sit on a lot of boards that the cruise lines come before" replied Bielawski.
Wow, with friends like these, who needs spiteful lobbyists.
The Ear email
Atached is one of the emails that was released as part of the freedom of information act that was recently filed.
It's an earful, but of course the administration has ruled the response coudn't be released to the public.
Your tax dollars at work.
